Membership

Membership dues are $30 per year for an individual, $40 per year for a family and are renewed every April. Memberships are free for school wood shop teachers and students 18 and under.  Guests are always welcome.

If you’re interested in joining, please come to a meeting as a visitor, or contact us through the form on the right-hand side of the screen.

Benefits of membership include full access to the club’s lending library, with many books, magazines and DVDs.  Members in good standing can also borrow the club lathe (Delta Midi), tools, and chuck.  The club also carries insurance for all club-sponsored activities, including meetings, demonstrations, and classes.

2011 Spring Turning Day

Our spring turning day at Paul’s farm was another great success. Plenty of food, drink and good times. We had tons of wood that was cut up and anybody who wanted to turn had plenty of time. Paul cut up bowl blanks with his chain saw and massive band saw. A number of members roughed out green bowl blanks and used end sealer to keep them from cracking while they dry. Tops, birdhouses, bowls and goblets were also turned. As usual Paul shared his knowledge of wood while he prepared blanks. A great thanks to Paul for the use of his shop and tools.

2011 Library Displays

The 2010 club library displays put up in the participating libraries for about a month and then moved to another library on a rotating schedule in the fall of the year. The club gets great feedback from the displays. A great job done by the club members who volunteer their time to put up and take down the displays.
