  • Craig reported on the Alan Carter demo with the St. Louis Wood Turners
  • Jim Anderson and Bruce are going to Hillsboro Intermediate School Career Day

  • Discussed Spring Turning Day happening on April 27
  • Discussed a potential new supplier of tshirts and hats
  • 4 club hats were still for sale for $15
  • Discussed May 18 Turning Day at the Festus Band Building

Treasurer’s report: $1449.73 but $500 is set aside for insurance.

Old business

  • Talked about use of the new room, including finishing the floors
  • Turning day at Paul’s April 27th
  • Arnie suggested different food options including a turn-n-eat bowl.
  • Last month’s president’s challenge tie was resolved with a drawing.

  • Friday May 10 Hillsboro Intermediate School Career Day
  • Received 4 more Craft Supplies gift certificates
  • 4 club hats were for sale for $15
  • The club was offered 2 tickets by the St. Louis Wood Turners club to a demonstration on April 6 with Alan Carter. Craig and Jerry received those tickets in a drawing with Gary as a backup attendee.
  • Steve Menendez, owner of Edge Tool Company is interested in getting into wood cutting band saw blades and wants feedback from wood turners.
